Square Circle
The SquareCircle was a bit of a monument, made purely to see whether it was possible to cast 2 tonnes of concrete - and make it stand on end. The final peice stood 8ft tall, 4 wide and 2 deep, and was cemented into foundations - secure enough to sit in and scramble on.

Square Circle was made in 2002 at Area10 - a fantastic 22,000 sqft warehouse we took over after Whittens Timber Yard moved next door (and helped install the SC with their stomping new £50K fork lift). Area10 is still going strong as an active international arts collective and experimental space:
